£8.5m for Scottish Aerospace economy as Chevron establish Centre of Excellence at Prestwick Airport

Future energy plans to fuel growth in Prestwick Aerospace sector

Plans to develop a new energy network to help power future expansion in the Prestwick Aerospace sector have been approved by South Ayrshire Council. Spirit AeroSystems invest £5m in Prestwick site

Spirit AeroSystems has invested £5 million at its Prestwick site adding a new paint and finishing centre. The US-based aerostructure supply company, which works with Airbus and Boeing, was supported in the investment with a £450,000 Regional Selective Assistance Grant from Scottish Enterprise.  Scottish Enterprise said the investment secured 75 jobs at the site.
